Weberhäuser - weavers houses

In the midst of the city, below the Malzhaus and St. Johannis church you will find a row of houses built centuries ago. Time seems to stand still in this special place and yet it is really lively in the small houses. Some years ago craft workers breathed new life into the old walls.

4In this wild-romantic part of the city five workshops and a museum can be found in the tiny buildings. Numerous courses are offered there. It is especially exciting for children and teenagers. They learn historical facts about the city of Plauen within a very special atmosphere. Step into this magical world and let yourself be surprised! The small gallery in the potter's house and the workshops in the so-called Filzhaus (felting house) and the Nadelöhr (bottleneck) are also always worth a visit. They are opened within the course hours and offer individual gifts.
