Persuing success with a dual course of studies

The State Academy Plauen was founded in 1999. Technology and economy are study programmes which are offered here.

As part of the dual course of study the University imparts solid scientific knowledge while selected companies are actively involved in all aspects of the students' practical education. The dual curriculum guarantees its graduates excellent career opportunities. The academic degree (Diplom or Bachelor) of the University of Cooperative Education Plauen is recognized throughout Europe.

Currently about 340 students are enrolled. The University is hoping to offer 100 additional student places on these courses in the near future.

  • Technical Management
  • Food Safety
  • Trade and International Management
  • Health Care and Social Management

Admission requirements:

  • obtain the general higher education entrance qualification
    (German equivalent to "A Levels")
  • or subject-specific university entrance diploma
  • or an entrance qualification of prior training recognised as equivalent
  • or an examination for master craftsman's diploma
  • or a passed admission test at the State Academy Plauen
    (for applicants with completed vocational training)
  • training contract with one of our practice partners
